Add another Google Ads account

To add another Google Ads account, open Account → Connections in the sidebar, click Connect account, sign in with the Google identity that has access, pick the account, and click Use this account. How many accounts you can connect depends on your plan.

An account in Hero Marketer is a Google Ads account. Connecting more than one lets you manage paid search for several companies or brands, a holding company, an agency's clients, multiple brands, from one Hero Marketer workspace.

How many Google Ads accounts you can connect

The number of Google Ads accounts you can connect depends on your plan:

  • Pro. 1 Google Ads account.
  • Growth. 1 Google Ads account.
  • Agency. Up to 10 Google Ads accounts.

If you're on Pro or Growth and need to manage more than one Google Ads account, upgrade to Agency before adding, see Change your plan. If you try to connect an account beyond your plan's limit, the app shows a limit-reached screen instead of the connection flow.

Connect another account

  1. Open Account → Connections in the sidebar.
  2. Click Connect account.
  3. The Google authorization screen opens. Sign in with the Google identity that has access to the account you want to add.
  4. Pick the account from the list of accounts that identity can reach.
  5. Click Use this account. Hero Marketer fetches the account's time zone and currency, then routes you to product setup for the new account.
  6. Add at least one product on the new account so you can build campaigns for it, see Add another product.

What's separate and what's shared across accounts

Each Google Ads account in Hero Marketer is independent. Per account, you get:

  • Its own products.
  • Its own campaign history and dashboard.
  • Its own Google Ads connection, with separate authorization.

What's shared across every account in your workspace:

  • Your subscription and credit balance. Credits are pooled across all connected accounts, not metered per account.
  • Your Hero AI usage. The limit of 10 saved chats is tracked per Google Ads account, but the credits those chats spend come from the one shared balance.
  • Your billing settings.

Working in a different connected account

Once a second Google Ads account is connected, the account switcher at the top of the sidebar lets you move between them. Connecting an account and switching to an account are different actions: connecting adds an account that isn't in your workspace yet; switching moves between accounts you've already connected. To move between connected accounts, see Switch between accounts.

Connecting accounts under a Google manager (MCC)

If your Google identity is on a manager account (MCC) that has child accounts, every child account shows up when you connect. Pick the one you want as a Hero Marketer account. To add a sibling account under the same manager, run Connect account again and pick a different child. You won't need to re-authenticate because the Google identity is already authorized.

Adding an account under the same or a different Google identity

  • Same Google identity, different account. Run Connect account and pick a different account from the list. You won't need to re-authenticate.
  • Different Google identity. Run Connect account and sign in with the other Google identity when Google's authorization screen opens.

Removing a Google Ads account

To stop managing a Google Ads account through Hero Marketer, disconnect it. This severs Hero Marketer's access without touching the live campaigns in Google Ads. See Disconnect Google Ads.
