Disconnect LinkedIn Ads

To disconnect a LinkedIn ad account, open Settings > Connections. On the account's card, click Disconnect account and confirm. Your campaigns in LinkedIn do not change and keep running.

A disconnect also stops daily checks and their 0.25 credits a day for that account. If you only want to work in a different account, you do not need to disconnect. Use the tile at the top of the sidebar or the Platform filter instead.

Disconnect a LinkedIn account from Hero Marketer

  1. Open Settings > Connections. To open Settings, click your profile picture at the bottom of the sidebar, then click Settings.
  2. On the card for the LinkedIn ad account, click Disconnect account.
  3. In the dialog, click Disconnect account to confirm.

Hero Marketer removes your connection and stops reading the account. It also deletes the stored LinkedIn sign-in when no other connected account of yours uses it.

When the account is your only connected account, the button reads Replace account. Hero Marketer disconnects the account first. Then it opens onboarding, where you connect another account.

Remove Hero Marketer's access at LinkedIn

You can also remove access in LinkedIn. Do this if you can no longer reach Settings > Connections.

  1. In LinkedIn, open Settings & Privacy.
  2. Open Data privacy, then Permitted services.
  3. Find Hero Marketer and remove it.

The account stays in Hero Marketer after this. You get the Reconnect LinkedIn Ads alert. While this alert is active, Hero Marketer does not charge daily checks for the account. If you turned this alert off, the charge continues. To stop the charge, also disconnect the account in Settings > Connections.

What changes when you disconnect a LinkedIn account

  • In LinkedIn: nothing changes.
  • In Hero Marketer: the account leaves its business, and its open alerts are resolved. Its business keeps its products. Hero Marketer keeps the account's dashboards, reports and Hero AI chats, but you cannot see them until you connect the account again. If no other Hero Marketer user has the account connected, Hero Marketer deletes its daily campaign figures.
  • Daily checks: they stop for that account.
  • Credits: your balance does not change.

If you disconnect the last ad account of a business, the business stays with its products, and its pages ask you to connect an account. If you disconnect your last account in every business, Hero Marketer returns you to onboarding.
