What alerts do
Hero Marketer checks each connected Google Ads account at 06:00 in the account's time zone. It checks budget pace and spend spikes every hour from 09:00 to 22:00. When a check finds one of 17 problems, the alert goes to the bell and the Alerts inbox. Ten alert types also send an email by default.
Alert types
The 17 built-in alert types in Hero Marketer, in the three Alert settings sections Protect, Performance, and Governance. For each alert type, the default channels, the check time, and the default rule. Alerts have no severity levels.
Configure alert preferences
In Settings > Alerts, turn alert types on or off, choose email delivery, and change thresholds. For four alert types, you can also change how many checks in a row an alert needs. Your alert settings apply to every Google Ads account that you connect.
Acting on an alert
How the alert drawer works. Analyze with Hero AI opens a new chat and sends the alert question at once. This uses credits like any Hero AI question. Mark resolved clears an alert, but the alert comes back if the rule still finds the problem.
Create a custom alert
A custom alert is a rule that you make in Settings > Alerts with Create custom alert. Pick one of 6 signals. Set the threshold, the baseline, and the checks in a row. Choose Email, In app, or both. A custom alert only notifies you. It runs on the account that is active when you save it. You can keep up to 50 custom alerts and custom automations together.
