What automations do
Automations let Hero Marketer make small, reversible changes to your Google Ads account on its own. Five recommended automations block wasting search terms, raise capped budgets, pause pure waste keywords, and ease CPA or ROAS targets. All are off by default, and you can also build custom automations. Automations run once a day at 06:00 in each account's time zone, inside daily caps and cooldowns, and you can revert each action.
Recommended automations
Hero Marketer has five recommended automations. They are Block wasting search terms, Lift the budget on profitable campaigns being capped, Pause pure waste keywords, Ease CPA targets on overperformers, and Ease ROAS targets on overperformers. Each section gives the exact trigger, action, and safety limits. All five are off by default. Each one applies to every Google Ads account you connect.
Turn on an automation
To turn on an automation, open Settings > Automations, make sure a Google Ads account is active, and click the switch on its card. The first time, read the preview and click Turn on automation. The setting applies to every Google Ads account you connect. Block wasting search terms and Lift the budget have limits and brand keywords you can change. The other three automations have fixed rules, so you only turn them on or off.
Automation history
The Automation history page at /automations lists the 100 most recent actions that automations took on the active Google Ads account. Each action has a status. Changes that Hero AI applied show only when you set the Automation filter to Hero AI. You can revert each Applied action one time, in any order. A budget or target revert restores the value from just before that action.
Build a custom automation
A custom automation is a rule that you build in Settings > Automations: pick a signal, set a condition, and choose an action. The signals are cost per conversion, return on ad spend, and wasted spend. A custom automation starts as soon as you save it. It runs only on the Google Ads account that was active when you saved it, and it uses fixed safety limits. You can revert each action.
