Create ad images
Create images makes ad images for one of your products. Hero Marketer reads the product website and your logo one time, and builds three ad styles from them. Then you describe an ad, and Hero Marketer makes one to four images. Each image takes a different angle. You download the images and upload them to Google Ads yourself.
Add your brand for ad images
You do this step one time for each product.
- Open Create images in the sidebar.
- If you have more than one product, select the product at the top of the page.
- Check the website address. It comes from the product.
- Upload your logo. Use a PNG, JPEG, or WebP file under 4 MB. SVG files are not accepted.
- Click Build my ad styles.
Hero Marketer reads the home page of your website and writes a design file. Then it turns the design file into an ad design system with three styles. This takes about two minutes and uses about 0.3 credits.
If your website blocks automated visits, Hero Marketer builds the styles from your logo and your product context. The next step tells you when this occurs.
Pick your ad styles
Hero Marketer shows three ad styles: Dark, Brand color, and Light. Each preview uses your logo, a sample headline, and a button.
- Select each style that you want to use. You can select more than one.
- If a style looks wrong, type the change in Ask for a change. Then click Redraw styles. A change uses about 0.2 credits.
- Click Continue.
You cannot edit the colors of an ad style by hand. To change a style, send a request.
Describe your ad
- Select an Ad style.
- Select a Size. The sizes are 1:1, 4:5, 9:16, 16:9, 4:3, 3:4, 5:4, 3:2, 2:3, and 21:9.
- Select the Number of images, from 1 to 4.
- In What to promote, type what the ad is about. For example, a new feature or an offer.
- Optional: upload a Product screenshot. The image model shows the screenshot in the ad as it is.
- Click the button under the form, for example Make 3 images. The button shows the number of images that you selected.
The images appear after about a minute. Three images use about 1 credit. One image uses about 0.3 credits.
How Hero Marketer chooses the angle of each image
Hero Marketer chooses one angle for each image, as a direct response copywriter does. Examples of angles are the problem that your product removes, the result that it gives, and the old way that it replaces. Hero Marketer writes each headline only from your product context and what you typed in What to promote. It does not invent numbers, customers, awards, or prices. It does not name competitors.
Change an ad image
- Click the image.
- In Ask for a change, type the change. For example: "Make the logo larger."
- Click Make a new version.
Each change makes a new version of the image and uses about 0.3 credits. Hero Marketer keeps all versions. The image model can make small errors, for example a lighter logo. A change request corrects them.
Download an ad image and upload it to Google Ads
- Click the image, and select the version that you want.
- Click Download.
- Upload the image to Google Ads.
Google Ads asks advertisers to label images that AI made. When you upload the image, select that label.
Your earlier images stay on the page under Earlier images. A page refresh does not remove them. If you delete the product, Hero Marketer deletes its images.
What Create images does not do
- It does not upload images to Google Ads, and it does not make Performance Max or Display assets.
- It has no manual editor. You cannot move items, change the text, or select colors.
- It does not make the banner sizes 1:4, 4:1, 1:8, and 8:1, or the 1.91:1 size. For wide placements, use 16:9.
- It does not accept SVG logos.
When an ad image fails or you close the tab
- If an image fails, you are not charged for that image.
- If no image is made, you are not charged.
- If you close the tab while images are made, Hero Marketer keeps and charges the finished images. It does not charge for the images that were not finished.
- While images are made, a Hero AI question that you send waits until the images are done.
