Advanced

Advanced is the second built-in dashboard, after the Overview. The Overview shows how your ads are doing. Advanced shows why the numbers moved and where your money works. No report on Advanced repeats a report on the Overview. To open Advanced, click the dashboard menu at the top left, then click Advanced.

Advanced shows different reports for each platform and for All.

Advanced on one platform

When you select one platform in the Platform filter, Advanced shows these reports:

  1. Where the funnel moved. Eight KPI cards in two full rows: impressions, clicks, CTR, cost, cost per click, conversions, conversion rate, and cost per conversion. These are the metrics of the campaigns table. When Compare to is on, each card shows the change from the earlier period. The card that changes most shows the step of the funnel that moved.
  2. Month pace, beside a chart of that platform. Month pace shows this month so far against your monthly target, and the forecast for the end of the month. See Monthly targets. The chart beside it: on Google Ads, devices; on LinkedIn Ads, job functions; on Meta Ads, placements.
  3. Where money is wasted. On Google Ads: the search terms with no conversions. On LinkedIn Ads: the ads by cost per lead. On Meta Ads: the ads by results and frequency.
  4. Who the ads reach, as a table with seven metrics. On Google Ads: audiences. On LinkedIn Ads: seniority. On Meta Ads: ages.

Advanced on All

On All, Advanced starts with the same eight cards. Conversions, conversion rate, and cost per conversion show one value for each platform. Then it shows the reports that set the platforms side by side. A view of one platform cannot show these reports.

  1. Platforms compared. A table with one row for each platform: cost, impressions, clicks, CTR, cost per click, conversions, conversion rate, cost per conversion, and ROAS. When Compare to is on, the earlier value shows under each value. The Total row adds up cost, impressions, and clicks. For conversions and the values that use conversions, the Total row shows "—", because conversions do not add up across platforms.
  2. Cost per conversion by platform. One line for each platform, week by week, with each change as a pin under the chart. Each platform counts its own conversions, so the cost per conversion of one platform does not compare exactly with the cost per conversion of a different platform. But the line of each platform shows if that platform gets more expensive over time.
  3. Month pace. The spend and the conversions of each platform this month, against the target of that platform. See Monthly targets.

Each platform has its own layout

Each layout fills full rows: the eight cards, then two charts of the same height side by side, then tables at full width. Advanced keeps a different layout for each platform and for All. When you move, add, or remove a tile on Advanced, the change applies only to the platform in view.

When you copy or move a report from a different dashboard to Advanced, the report goes to the layout where it shows:

  • A report of one platform goes to Advanced on that platform.
  • A report on the Platforms data source goes to Advanced on All.
  • Each other report goes to Advanced on the platform in view.

Change Advanced

Advanced has the same tile controls as every dashboard.

  • To add a report, click Add report.
  • To change a report, click the Customize icon on its tile. The report builder opens. When you save, the tile shows your change. See Customize your dashboard.
  • To move, resize, copy, or remove tiles, see Customize your dashboard.
  • To go back to the default tiles of the platform in view, click the menu (the three dots), then click Reset to default layout.

Hero Marketer remembers the layouts of Advanced for each business, in this browser only.

Export Advanced as a PDF

On Advanced, click Export PDF. The PDF shows the default reports of Advanced for the date range and the platform in view, or the default reports of All. For the cost of a PDF, see Export your dashboard.

What Advanced does not do

  • Advanced has no AI summary.
  • Advanced does not show pipeline or revenue, or the value of the leads from each platform. Hero Marketer has no CRM connection.
  • Advanced does not write an answer in sentences. Each report is a chart or a table.
