Customize your dashboard
You can move, resize, or remove every tile on a dashboard. You can also add your own saved reports as new tiles. Hero Marketer saves changes as you make them. There is no save button.
Move and resize tiles
- Move a tile. Drag it by the grip handle in its top right corner, next to the tile's menu. The other tiles move out of the way.
- Resize a tile. Drag its bottom right corner. Tiles snap to a 12-column grid. A full-width tile spans the page, and a half-width tile sits next to another tile.
- Remove a tile. Open the tile's menu (the three dots) and choose Remove from dashboard.
When you remove a tile, it comes off this dashboard only. If the tile was a saved report, the report stays in your reports library.
Add a report as a tile
Use Add report at the top right of the dashboard. You get two options:
- Create report opens the report builder. When you finish, Hero Marketer adds the new report to the dashboard you started from.
- Pick an existing report from the list below. The list shows only the reports that are not already on this dashboard. If the list is empty, every report you have is already here.
Any saved report can sit on a dashboard as a tile. See Create a report.
Turn a default tile into a report with Save as report
The seven tiles that the Overview starts with are built in. They are not reports in your library. They do not have a report page, and you cannot edit what they show.
To change one, open its menu and choose Save as report. This creates a real, editable report from the tile and points the tile at the report. After that, the tile's title is a link to the report. You can open the report to change its metrics, visualization, scope, or date range, like any other report.
This answers the question "how do I change what the device breakdown shows": save it as a report first, then edit the report.
Move a tile to another dashboard
If you have more than one dashboard, a tile's menu has Move to dashboard. It lists your other dashboards. When you choose one, Hero Marketer removes the tile here and adds it there.
You can move only saved reports and default tiles you have kept. See Create and manage dashboards.
Reset the Overview
On the Overview, the menu next to Export PDF has Reset to default layout. This puts the seven default tiles back in their original positions and discards your arrangement for that account. It does not change any reports you created, and it does not change your named dashboards.
Where your layout is saved
This is different for the two kinds of view. It matters if you use more than one computer:
- The Overview layout stays in your browser, separately for each Google Ads account. It does not follow you to another browser or another device. If you clear your browser data, the Overview returns to the seven default tiles.
- Hero Marketer stores named dashboards on your account. Their layouts are the same on any browser you sign in from.
If you want an arrangement you see everywhere, build it as a named dashboard, and do not rearrange the Overview.
"Report unavailable" on a tile
A tile that shows Report unavailable points at a report that you deleted. The data is gone, not hidden. To clear the tile, open its menu and choose Remove from dashboard.
