Choose a Google Ads account

After you connect Google Ads, Hero Marketer shows every account your Google identity has access to. Pick the one you want to start with. This is reversible.

What you'll see

The list shows up to a few kinds of entries:

  • Direct accounts. Standard Google Ads accounts you own or are a user on.
  • Manager accounts (sometimes called MCC accounts). These manage other accounts under them. If you sign in as a manager, you'll see all the accounts beneath it.
  • Test accounts. Marked as such by Google. Hero Marketer will let you connect them, but campaigns created in test accounts won't actually run.

If you don't see an account you expected, the most common reason is that your Google identity isn't a user on that account. Ask whoever owns it to add you through Google Ads' user management screen.

Pick one

Click the account you want to use. Hero Marketer saves it as your active account, fetches its time zone and currency, and routes you to the next onboarding step.

A few notes on what happens once you pick:

  • Time zone and currency are inherited from Google Ads. Reporting in the dashboard uses these so the numbers line up with what you see in Google Ads.
  • Existing campaigns in the account are not modified. Hero Marketer reads them so the dashboard can show their performance, but it won't touch them unless you specifically edit through Hero Marketer.
  • You can switch later. The account picker lives in the top of the sidebar once you're inside the app.

Plan limits

How many Google Ads accounts you can have active in Hero Marketer depends on your plan:

  • Pro. 1 account.
  • Growth. 1 account.
  • Agency. Up to 10 accounts.

If you need more than one account, see Add another Google Ads account and Compare plans.
