Find your way around Hero Marketer

Hero Marketer has a sidebar at the left, a header at the top, and a user menu at the bottom of the sidebar. The sidebar holds the main pages. The user menu holds Settings, Billing, Help and support, and Log out.

There is no Account item in the sidebar. To open Settings, click your profile picture (or your initial) at the bottom of the sidebar, then click Settings.

The sidebar

The sidebar has these items, from top to bottom:

  • Account switcher. It shows the active Google Ads account. Click it to change to a different account, or to connect a new account. Most pages show data for the active account only.
  • Dashboard. Your performance numbers, the AI summary, and the breakdowns for the active account.
  • Hero AI. The Google Ads copilot. Ask questions about your account, and approve the changes that Hero AI suggests.
  • Marketing group:
    • Campaigns. The All campaigns page. It lists active, paused, and removed campaigns. Click a campaign to see its ad groups, ads, keywords, and search terms.
    • Create campaign. The campaign wizard. It builds one new Google Search campaign.
    • Reports. The saved reports for the active account.
  • Monitoring group:
    • Alerts. The alerts inbox. It shows the alerts for all your connected accounts.
    • Automations. The Automation history page. It shows each action that your automations made on the active account. An applied action has a Revert button.
  • Credit balance. Your balance in credits. Click it to see Buy credits ($20) and View activity and manage billing.
  • Profile picture. Click it to open the user menu.

On a computer, the sidebar is a narrow column of icons, and the group names do not show. Move the pointer onto an icon to see its name.

The header

The header is at the top of each page. It holds:

  • The page path. It shows the name of the page that you are on. On the Hero AI page, the header shows your chat tabs instead.
  • The alerts bell. A red badge shows the number of active alerts. Click the bell to see up to 10 recent active alerts. The bell also has links to View all alerts and Alert settings.
  • The theme button. Click it to choose the light, dark, or system theme.

The user menu

Click your profile picture (or your initial) at the bottom of the sidebar. The user menu has these items:

  • Settings. Opens the Settings pages.
  • Billing. Opens Settings > Billing.
  • Help and support. Opens this help center in a new tab.
  • Log out.

The seven Settings sections

Settings has seven sections, in this order:

SectionWhat you do there
ProfileChange your full name. See your email, which comes from your Google sign-in. Choose the appearance for this device. Sign out.
ProductsSee the products on each account. Add a product. Change the product name, website, and product context.
ConnectionsSee your connected Google Ads accounts. Make an account active, reconnect it, or disconnect it. Connect another account.
BillingSee your credit balance and how many days of daily checks it covers. Buy credits. Turn Auto top-up on or off. Open Manage billing for invoices and payment details.
AlertsTurn each of the 17 alert types on or off. Choose which alert types send an email. Change thresholds. Create custom alerts.
AutomationsTurn on a recommended automation after a preview. Create custom automations.
ActivitySee every credit purchase and every credit spend, newest first.

The alert types and the recommended automations apply to all your connected Google Ads accounts. A custom alert or a custom automation applies to the account that was active when you saved it.

Settings > Alerts, Settings > Automations, and the Automations page in the sidebar are locked while daily checks are off. Daily checks start when you buy credits for the first time. See Monitoring and the daily rate.

On a phone

On a phone or a narrow browser window, the sidebar is a drawer. To open it, tap the menu button at the left of the header. The drawer closes when you open a page.

The drawer holds the account switcher, the main pages, the credit balance, and the user menu. The bell stays in the header.

Hero Marketer has no mobile app. Use the browser on your phone.

During onboarding

Until you finish onboarding, the sidebar, the account switcher, the bell, and Settings are not available. The onboarding pages show only Help and Log out.

The support chat

The chat bubble on app pages is the support chat. The support chat answers from this help center. It is not Hero AI. It cannot see your account, and it cannot send you to a person. To speak to a person, email support@heromarketer.io.
