What is Hero Marketer
Hero Marketer is a Google Ads copilot for lean B2B SaaS marketing teams. You connect Google Ads for free, and Hero Marketer scans your account for problems that waste ad spend. Then you get a free dashboard, Hero AI to answer questions about your account, and daily checks for problems. You also get a campaign builder that writes keywords, ad copy, and sitelinks for you to review, edit, and launch.
Who it is for
Hero Marketer serves marketers and founders who run paid search at small B2B SaaS companies. You understand marketing concepts but you are not a Google Ads specialist, and you do not have time to become one.
Hero Marketer also serves agencies that run Google Ads for several B2B SaaS clients. One login can connect up to 10 Google Ads accounts. You see one account at a time and switch between accounts in the sidebar. There are no client logins, no billing for each client, and no view that combines accounts.
Hero Marketer does the repetitive work in Google Ads. It finds why performance changed, watches the account for problems, and writes keywords, ad copy, and sitelinks. You spend your time on review and decisions.
What Hero Marketer does
- Finds why performance changed. Hero AI answers questions from your live Google Ads data. A simple lookup takes seconds. A deep dive finds why a number changed and recommends the next step. A deep dive takes about 3 minutes. Hero AI also does keyword research and writes ad copy and landing page wireframes.
- Watches your account. Daily checks look for 17 kinds of problems, such as broken conversion tracking and search terms that waste budget. Hero Marketer shows each alert in the app. By default, 10 of the 17 alert types also send an email. Daily checks cost 0.25 credits a day for each connected account. See What alerts do.
- Fixes problems. Hero AI shows each change on a card with the exact values. The change runs only after you click Approve and apply. Automations are optional. When you turn one on, it fixes some problems without asking each time, within daily caps. See What automations do.
- Builds new Search, Performance Max, Demand Gen, and retargeting campaigns. The campaign wizard builds one Google Search campaign at a time. With Category search, it can build a Performance Max or a Demand Gen campaign instead, with images from Create images or images that you upload. It can also build a retargeting campaign on Search or on Demand Gen, which shows ads only to people on your lists. The first time you create a campaign for a product, you paste your website URL once. Hero Marketer reads your home page and your pricing page, and builds your product context. The product context is what you sell, who it is for, why people buy it, and the proof and offers that your site shows. You enter a seed keyword as the search term. Hero Marketer groups Google's keyword ideas into keyword clusters and recommends a monthly budget that you can change. It writes responsive search ad copy, with callouts from your proof and offers, and can write sitelinks. You can also attach callouts, structured snippets, and prices that already exist in your account.
- Makes ad images. Create images makes ad images that look like your brand, in three styles. It makes ad images from a sentence about what the ad promotes. You download the images and upload them to Google, Meta, or LinkedIn yourself. A Performance Max or Demand Gen campaign from the campaign wizard sends the images that you pick to Google Ads. See Create ad images.
- Launches into Google Ads. When you click Launch in the campaign wizard, Hero Marketer creates the campaign in your Google Ads account and turns it on. Google reviews the ad before it runs, like any other ad.
- Tracks performance. The dashboard shows the metrics you care about: impressions, clicks, cost, conversions, CTR, CPC, and CPA. You can pick a date range and compare it with the previous period or the previous year.
- Saves reports. A report is one chart, table, or row of KPI cards. Each saved report has a short AI brief, which uses credits. See What reports do.
What Hero Marketer does not do
- Other ad channels. Hero Marketer works on Google Ads only. It does not run LinkedIn, Meta, TikTok, Reddit, or programmatic campaigns. The ad images from Create images also work for Meta and LinkedIn ads, but you upload them yourself.
- Other campaign types. The campaign wizard builds Google Search, Performance Max, and Demand Gen campaigns only, with retargeting on Search or Demand Gen. It does not build Display, Shopping, Video, or App campaigns.
- Replace strategy. Hero Marketer generates from what your website says and what you tell it. A thin product page produces thin keywords and copy. The quality of the input matters.
- Make changes on its own, unless you turn on automations. Hero AI changes nothing until you click Approve and apply on a card that shows the exact change. Automations are off by default. When you turn on an automation, it acts without asking each time, within daily caps. You can revert each automation action from Automation history. In the campaign wizard, Write with AI adds sitelinks to your Google Ads account at once.
- Bill you for ad spend. You pay Google directly for clicks and impressions through your own Google Ads account. Hero Marketer charges credits for AI work and daily checks. There are no plans and no monthly fee. Hero Marketer never bills your ad spend. See How credits work.
- Measure CAC, LTV, or revenue. Hero Marketer reads your Google Ads data, not your CRM or billing system. It frames metrics in B2B SaaS terms in conversation, but it cannot connect Google Ads conversions to closed won revenue.
How onboarding works
Onboarding is free and takes a few minutes:
- Connect Google Ads. Choose the Google account that has access to your Google Ads account.
- Choose an account. If you have one Google Ads account, Hero Marketer picks it automatically. If you have several, you pick one.
- Scan your account. Hero Marketer runs its alert checks once while you watch, then shows what it found.
Then you land on your dashboard. It is free, and your first AI summary for each account is free too.
After that, you buy credits when you need them. Hero Marketer is pay as you go. There are no plans and no monthly fee. One credit costs $1. You buy credits in packs of 20 for $20. Credits do not expire. Daily checks cost 0.25 credits a day for each connected account. The charge starts when you buy credits for the first time. See How credits work.
