How credits work
Hero Marketer is pay as you go. One credit costs $1, and you buy credits in packs of 20 for $20. Credits do not expire. Credits pay for AI work and for the daily checks for alerts and automations. AI work includes Hero AI, the AI steps in campaign creation, Create images, AI summaries after the first free one, and report briefs. The dashboard, reports, and CSV export are free. PDF export is free, but you must have a balance above 0.
Buy credits
Credits cost $20 for a pack of 20 credits. Each purchase is one pack. Buy a pack from the credit balance at the bottom of the sidebar or from Settings > Billing. You can also buy from the dialog that opens when an action needs more credits. Credits do not expire.
Monitoring and the daily rate
Daily checks for alerts and automations cost 0.25 credits a day for each connected Google Ads account, about $7.50 a month for each account. The charge starts when you buy credits for the first time. To stop it, turn off all 17 alert types and all automations, or disconnect the account. No rate is charged for an account while its Google Ads connection broken alert is active. When credits run out, the checks continue for 3 days at no cost, then pause.
Set up auto top up
Auto top up is optional and off by default. It is a yearly credit subscription. It charges $20 for 20 credits when you turn it on, and it renews every year for $20. It also buys 20 credits for $20 when your balance goes below 5 credits. It checks your balance every 15 minutes, and only while your alerts or automations are on. To cancel it, turn off Auto top up in Settings > Billing. Your credits stay.
Refund policy
Unused credits are refundable within 90 days of the purchase that bought them. Spent credits and the Paddle fee are not refundable. There is no refund button in the app. To request a refund, email support@heromarketer.io. Paddle refunds to the original payment method.
Update payment method
Hero Marketer charges a saved payment method only for auto top up. To change it, open Settings > Billing, click Manage billing, and update the payment method in the Paddle portal. If you do not use auto top up, there is no saved card to update: you choose the payment method in each checkout.
View invoices
Paddle issues your invoices. Find them in the Paddle portal: open Settings > Billing, click Manage billing, then open Invoices or Receipts. Paddle also sends a receipt with a PDF by email after every credit pack purchase, auto top up charge, and yearly auto top up renewal.
View credit activity
Your credit activity is in Settings > Activity. It lists every credit grant and every spend, newest first. Grants are credit purchases and admin credit grants. Spends include Hero AI chat turns, AI steps in campaign creation, the Create images steps, AI summaries, report briefs, refunds, and the daily checks for each account.
