Set up auto top up
Auto top up buys a credit pack for you when your balance drops low, so alerts and automations never pause because you were away from your inbox.
How to turn it on
- Open Settings → Billing.
- Switch Auto top up on.
- A Paddle checkout opens. Pay for the first pack.
The switch turns itself on once Paddle confirms the payment, usually within a few seconds.
Why it sets up a subscription
To charge your card when you are not there, we need a payment arrangement you have authorised in advance. Paddle only allows that through a subscription, so auto top up sets one up: a credit pack once a year, at the same $20 a pack.
That yearly charge is not a fee. It buys credits, exactly like any other pack, and they land in your balance the same way. Between those yearly charges, auto top up buys another pack whenever your balance drops below the threshold.
There is still no monthly fee, and no plan.
How to turn it off
Switch Auto top up off in Settings → Billing.
This also cancels the yearly credit subscription, so no further charge is taken. Credits you have already bought stay in your balance.
Paddle cannot restart a cancelled subscription, so turning auto top up back on later opens a new checkout.
