Buy more credits

When your monthly credits run low or out, you can buy a top-up to keep using AI features right away. $20 buys 20 credits, charged through Paddle to your existing payment method, and the credits land in your balance immediately. Unlike monthly plan credits, purchased top-up credits roll over indefinitely until you use them.

If you run out month after month, upgrading your plan is usually cheaper than buying repeated top-ups, see Compare plans.

How to buy a top-up

You can buy a top-up from three places, all using the same Buy credits action:

  1. The sidebar credit balance. Click your remaining-credits indicator at the bottom of the sidebar to open a popover with Buy credits and Upgrade plan.
  2. The out-of-credits screen that takes over the campaign wizard when your balance hits zero.
  3. The plan page (Account → Plan), in the snapshot card at the top.

After you click Buy credits, confirm the $20 charge in the Paddle checkout. Your existing payment method is used, and the credits appear in your balance immediately, the dashboard updates without a page refresh. The charge shows on your next invoice as a separate line item from your subscription.

When buying a top-up makes sense

A top-up is the right move when:

  • Your monthly credits are exhausted but you have one or two specific things to ship, a campaign launch, a Hero AI investigation.
  • You're between billing cycles and don't want to wait for renewal.
  • You're testing how much you'll actually use before committing to a plan upgrade.

How purchased credits get spent

When your balance holds both monthly plan credits and purchased top-up credits, Hero Marketer spends them in this order:

  1. Monthly plan credits first. These expire at the end of the billing period, so they're spent before they vanish.
  2. Purchased top-up credits second. These never expire, so they're held in reserve until your monthly credits are gone.

Spending monthly credits first is what makes a top-up hold its value. You don't lose purchased credits to a monthly reset.

Refunding a top-up

Additional credit purchases are nonrefundable as a standard rule. The refund available within 14 days applies to your subscription, not to credit purchases, see Refund policy.

If you bought a top-up by mistake, for example, you meant to upgrade your plan, contact support. A top-up charge can be reviewed and reversed by exception, case by case.

Bulk credit pricing

If you regularly buy several top-ups a month, contact support, bulk credit pricing is available for sustained high volume.

When a top-up isn't the right fix

Top-up credits restore AI access only. They don't change:

  • Your plan's account or product limits. If you're at your account or product limit, more credits won't unlock the next slot, you need to upgrade. See Hit account or product limit.
  • Your subscription status. If your subscription is cancelled or a payment failed, a top-up doesn't restore access. Fix the subscription first.
