Cancel your subscription

To cancel your Hero Marketer subscription, open Account → Plan, click Manage billing to open the Paddle billing portal, and choose Cancel subscription. Cancelling stops your next renewal charge, but you keep full access through the end of the current billing period.

How to cancel

  1. Open Account → Plan in the sidebar.
  2. Click Manage billing. The Paddle billing portal opens.
  3. Click Cancel subscription.
  4. Confirm.

The cancellation is scheduled right away, and you keep paid access until the end of the current billing period.

What happens after you cancel

Through the end of the current billing period, nothing changes, your subscription stays active. You keep every feature, and your remaining credits stay in your balance.

Once the billing period ends:

  • The subscription expires and you lose access to Hero Marketer until you reactivate.
  • Signing in sends you to the renewal page instead of the dashboard, settings, campaign wizard, Hero AI, accounts, or products.
  • Your existing Google Ads campaigns keep running. Cancelling Hero Marketer does not pause or delete them.

Your Google Ads campaigns keep running after you cancel

Cancelling Hero Marketer does not stop your Google Ads spend. Campaigns you built through Hero Marketer live in your Google Ads account and keep running until you pause them in Google Ads directly.

If you want to stop ad spend as well, pause your campaigns in Google Ads, before or after cancelling Hero Marketer. Cancelling the subscription alone won't do it, because Hero Marketer never controls your ad spend.

What happens to your data after you cancel

When your subscription expires, your data is retained for 90 days:

  • Account, product, and campaign records are kept for at least 90 days. Reactivate within that window and everything returns as it was.
  • Hero AI conversation history is kept for the same window.
  • Historical app data is retained but not visible in the app until you reactivate.

After 90 days of inactivity, accounts may be archived. For the full retention and deletion policy, including how to request permanent deletion of your data, which is separate from cancelling, see Data and security.

Reactivating after you cancel

To come back:

  1. Sign in with the same Google identity you used originally.
  2. Pick a plan on the renewal page.
  3. Confirm payment.

For 90 days after cancellation, your accounts, products, and campaign history are restored automatically. After 90 days, contact support to retrieve archived data.

Pausing instead of cancelling

There's no formal pause option. The closest equivalent is downgrading to Pro for stretches when you don't need a higher tier, then upgrading back when you do. See Change your plan.

Getting a refund when you cancel

If you cancel within 14 days of a charge and have used less than 10% of that period's credits, you may be eligible for a full refund. See Refund policy for the thresholds and how to request one.
