Monitoring and the daily rate
Daily checks cost 0.25 credits a day for each connected account. One account costs about $7.50 a month. Two accounts cost about $15 a month.
The daily checks run your alerts and automations every day, also when you do not sign in. Alerts and automations run in the same check, so there is one rate, not two.
Daily checks start when you first buy credits
Monitoring is on by default. All 17 alert types start on. When you buy credits for the first time, daily checks start on each connected account. Within about 15 minutes, Hero Marketer charges the first 0.25 credits for each account. Then each account costs 0.25 credits a day.
Alert settings and automation settings stay locked until the daily checks start. If you want to use only Hero AI, turn off the checks after your first purchase. See [How to stop the daily rate](#how to-stop-the-daily-rate). The first day of checks is charged.
When the checks run
Hero Marketer checks each account at 06:00 in the account's time zone. It checks budget pace and spend spikes every hour from 09:00 to 22:00. Automations act at most one time a day, in the 06:00 check.
What the rate pays for
- The 17 built in alert types, and your custom alerts
- The automations that you turn on. Each action that an automation makes shows in Automation history with a Revert button.
- The alert emails
Automations do not cost credits for each action. The daily rate pays for them.
How to stop the daily rate
There is no single off switch, and there is no switch for one account. To stop the daily rate for all your accounts, do these steps:
- Click your profile picture at the bottom of the sidebar.
- Click Settings.
- Click Alerts.
- Turn off each of the 17 alert types.
- Click Automations.
- Turn off each recommended automation.
This change applies to all your connected accounts. Hero Marketer takes the charge for a day at the start of that day, in the account's time zone. A day that was already charged stays charged. The rate stops from the next day.
If you turn off only some alert types, the rate does not stop. The checks continue with fewer alert types.
Custom alerts and custom automations do not keep the daily checks on. When all 17 alert types and all recommended automations are off, your custom alerts and custom automations also stop.
To stop the rate for one account only, disconnect that account in Settings > Connections. See Disconnect Google Ads.
If you manage several client accounts
All your ad accounts use one credit balance. You can have up to 10 businesses, with one ad account on each platform in each business. Each business has its own alert settings and automation settings, for the accounts in that business. To stop the charges for one business, turn off all its alert types and automations in its settings, or disconnect its accounts. There is no monitoring switch for one account in a business.
Paddle sends each receipt to you, not to a client. To divide the costs between clients, use the Daily checks for entries in Settings > Activity. Each entry shows the account ID, for example Daily checks for 123-456-7890.
When a Google Ads connection breaks
If Hero Marketer cannot read an account, the Google Ads connection broken alert fires. By default, it fires after 3 failed checks in a row. The alert comes by email and in the app. While that alert is active, Hero Marketer does not charge the daily rate for that account. A day that was charged before the alert fired stays charged.
This pause works only when the Google Ads connection broken alert type is on. If you turned that alert type off, a broken account continues to cost 0.25 credits a day.
To start monitoring again, reconnect the account in Settings > Connections. The daily rate starts again when the alert resolves. If you do not use the account any more, disconnect it. See Alert types for the causes of a broken connection.
When credits run out
While daily checks run, Hero Marketer sends you an email when about 7, 3, and 1 days of checks are left. The email subject is Your monitoring stops in N days or Your monitoring stops tomorrow. A banner in the app also shows About N days of monitoring left. Add credits to keep the daily checks running.
This count includes only the daily rate. Hero AI and other AI work can make your credits run out sooner. Settings > Billing shows Covers monitoring for, the number of days that your balance pays for. This number also includes only the daily rate.
When your balance cannot pay for one day of checks, the checks continue for 3 days at no cost. The banner shows You are out of credits. Monitoring for your account stops in N days unless you add credits.
After the 3 days, monitoring pauses. Hero Marketer tells you when monitoring pauses. You get the email Monitoring has stopped, and the banner shows Monitoring is paused. No alerts or automations run on your account until you add credits. Your dashboard and reports continue to work.
When you buy credits, monitoring starts again within about 15 minutes. The warning emails can then go out again when your balance gets low.
