Getting started
Do I need a Google Ads account before I sign up?
A Google Ads account is strongly preferred. You can sign up and complete the first three onboarding steps without one. But the final Connect Google Ads step requires a Google Ads account on the Google identity you use to sign up. If you do not have one, create it at ads.google.com before you connect. See Sign up and Connect Google Ads.
What does Hero Marketer cost?
Plans start at $20/month for Pro, $50 for Growth, $100 for Agency. Your plan also includes credits for AI usage, with optional top ups. See Compare plans.
Does Hero Marketer charge me for ad spend?
No. You pay Google directly for clicks through your own Google Ads account. Hero Marketer charges a subscription plus credits for AI generation. See How credits work.
How long does it take to set up?
Onboarding takes about 10 minutes (connect Google Ads, describe your product, review analysis). The first campaign takes another 10 minutes (targeting, keywords, ad copy). In total, it takes roughly 20 to 30 minutes from signup to a campaign in review.
Credits and billing
What is a credit?
Hero Marketer uses credits to charge for AI generation. Credits are priced in whole dollars: 1 credit costs $1. Each credit covers the AI work behind a generation plus the margin that keeps the company running. See How credits work.
Why do credits cost what they cost?
The AI providers that power Hero Marketer charge us by token usage. It also costs money to run an independent company. A credit's price covers two things: the AI work, and a margin that keeps us self-funded. So we answer to customers and not investors. Hero Marketer does not price credits to maximize purchases. It prices credits so most users never need to buy more.
How can I try Hero Marketer before I commit?
There is no free trial. Every plan has a money back guarantee for 14 days. Subscribe, evaluate the product with up to 10% of your monthly credits (2 on Pro, 5 on Growth, 10 on Agency), and request a full refund if it is not for you. See Refund policy and How we operate.
Why are you not priced like ChatGPT or Claude at $20/month?
Those plans run on venture capital that subsidizes the cost of usage. Hero Marketer is independent and customer funded. So the price reflects what it actually costs to build and run the product, and not investor subsidy. The trade is that Hero Marketer goes deeper on B2B SaaS marketing than any horizontal tool can. See How we operate.
Do unused credits roll over?
Monthly plan credits refresh at the start of each billing period. Purchased extra credits roll over indefinitely and accumulate in your balance. See How credits work.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 14 days of your subscription start or renewal, if you are under the credit use threshold. See Refund policy.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancellation stops the next renewal. You keep access through the end of the current billing period. See Cancel your subscription.
Campaigns
How long until my campaign goes live?
Most reviews complete in under a day. Some take up to two business days, especially in regulated categories. See What happens after you launch.
Why does my campaign not serve impressions?
Most likely it is still in Google's review. Check status in Google Ads. If it is eligible but not serving, the cause is usually budget, bid, or ad strength. See Campaign not live yet.
Can I edit a campaign after I create it?
Yes. Pause or resume a campaign directly from the All campaigns page. Ask Hero AI in chat to change keywords, negatives, budget, bidding, ad copy, or the status of individual ad groups, ads, and keywords. Each change requires explicit confirmation before it runs. You only need Google Ads for restructuring, conversion tracking, billing, and account settings. See Pause or edit a live campaign.
Can I run multiple campaigns at once?
Yes. Most teams run several campaigns at the same time, one per cluster. The campaign creation step itself is free. But the AI generation steps during setup use credits, based on actual token usage.
Can I target multiple regions in one campaign?
Yes. But consider whether you need one campaign or separate campaigns. If the regions have meaningfully different competitive dynamics or budgets, separate campaigns give cleaner data. See Set up targeting.
Hero AI
What can Hero AI see?
Hero AI sees your active Google Ads account, your product context, and live performance data that Hero Marketer pulls from Google Ads. It cannot see your CRM, sales pipeline, or anything outside Google Ads. See What Hero AI does.
How many Hero AI chats can I have?
You can have up to 10 chats per Google Ads account. Each account keeps its own separate list. When you reach 10, delete an old chat to start a new one. See Manage your chats.
Does Hero AI make changes for me?
Yes, for a wide range of changes. Hero AI can pause or enable any level: a campaign, an ad group, an ad, or an individual keyword. It can add or remove targeted keywords, and add or remove negative keywords. It can change the daily budget, and adjust or switch bidding. It can apply new RSA ad copy, and redraft landing page copy. Each change needs your explicit confirmation before it runs. Bigger structural changes (campaign restructuring, conversion tracking, billing, account settings) still need a human in Google Ads. You always build new campaigns through the wizard. See Actions Hero AI can take.
Why does Hero AI cost credits?
The underlying AI providers charge per query. Each conversation exchange uses some credits. The amount depends on how much data Hero AI looks at to answer. See How credits work.
How much should I trust Hero AI's recommendations?
The specific numbers it cites are reliable. Hero AI pulls them from your account. Causal claims and recommendations are inferences. Verify them yourself. See Understand its recommendations.
Reports
What is a report?
A report is a saved, named performance brief for one Google Ads account. A report pairs an AI brief (what changed and the one next step) with supporting data (metric summary, trend chart, campaign table) and exports to PDF. Start from a template or build a custom one. See What reports do.
How is a report different from a Hero AI chat?
A report is the saved, reopenable, exportable deliverable. A Hero AI chat answer is a one off in a conversation. Make a report for the thing you keep and send. Ask Hero AI for a quick answer in the moment. See What reports do.
Can I schedule a report or send it to Slack?
No. Hero Marketer generates a report when you open or refresh it. There is no recurring schedule. The only way to share a report is the single page PDF you download. There is no Slack, Notion, or email delivery, and no shareable public link. See Read and share a report.
Does a report measure CAC or LTV?
No. Reports read Google Ads metrics only. Hero Marketer has no CRM integration. So a brief frames cost per lead, conversions, and cost per conversion. It never measures CAC or LTV. See What reports do.
Does a report cost credits?
When you generate or refresh the AI brief, it spends credits, because it is an AI feature. Hero Marketer shows the amount after the brief runs. You can read a report and export it to PDF for free. See How credits work.
Accounts and products
What is the difference between an account and a product?
An account is a Google Ads account. A product is what you market within it. See Accounts vs products.
Can I add multiple Google Ads accounts?
Only the Agency plan allows this, up to 10 accounts. Pro and Growth allow only 1 account. See Compare plans.
Can I share an account with my team?
Hero Marketer has no shared workspace or multi seat features. Each team member needs their own login and their own subscription. The Agency plan covers up to 10 Google Ads accounts under one login. This is the path for agencies that manage multiple clients. For agencies that need to coordinate across people, contact support.
Data and security
What data do you store?
Hero Marketer stores your product descriptions, campaign records, dashboard data, Hero AI conversations, and Google Ads OAuth tokens. It encrypts the tokens. Hero Marketer pulls performance metrics live from Google Ads. It does not store them. See Data and security.
Where is my data hosted?
Hero Marketer hosts your data in US data centers. The application database runs on Supabase (Postgres). Billing runs on Paddle. See Data and security.
Can I export my data?
Campaign performance data is in Google Ads. You can export it there. You can request an export of Hero Marketer specific data (product descriptions, Hero AI conversations). Contact support to request it.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. Contact support for full deletion. Standard cancellation retains data for 90 days. Hero Marketer processes full deletion within 30 days of your request.
Other
Do you support languages other than English?
The product UI is English. The campaign wizard can target ads in other languages, set in step 1. But the AI generated copy is currently strongest in English. We are improving non English copy over time.
Do you have an iOS or Android app?
Hero Marketer has no mobile app. The web app works on mobile browsers, but the campaign wizard works best on desktop.
Do you have an API?
Hero Marketer has no public API at the moment.
What is your roadmap?
There is no public roadmap. To send a feature request, contact support.
Where do I get help?
Search this site, check Troubleshooting, or Contact support.
