Default reports

The reports library starts with seven default reports. They are the same reports as the seven tiles on the dashboard Overview. You can open and view them. To change a default report, or to get an AI brief and exports, save your own copy.

The seven default reports​

  • Performance summary. KPI cards for cost, impressions, clicks, and conversions.
  • Performance over time. An area chart of cost, impressions, clicks, and conversions for each day.
  • Campaign breakdown. A table of the top 10 campaigns with nine metrics.
  • Device breakdown. A pie chart of cost for each device.
  • Country breakdown. A bar chart of the top 10 countries by cost.
  • Audience breakdown. A pie chart of the top 10 audiences by cost.
  • Conversion actions. A bar chart of the top 10 conversion actions by all conversions.

Find default reports in the library​

In the reports library, a default report has the Default badge. Its owner is Hero Marketer, and its Updated column shows Prebuilt.

  • To see only default reports, set the Type filter to Default reports.
  • To see only the reports that you created, set the Type filter to Yours.
  • To see reports of one kind, set the Category filter to Summary, Trends, or Breakdown.

What you can do with a default report​

A default report is view-only. It has two actions: View report and Edit report. It has no AI brief, no Refresh narrative, no Export PDF or Export CSV, and no Duplicate.

Make your own copy of a default report​

  1. Open the default report.
  2. Click Edit report. The report builder opens with the default report's settings.
  3. Change the settings that you want.
  4. Click Save report.

Hero Marketer saves your copy in the reports library. Your copy is a normal saved report. It can have an AI brief, and you can export it. A brief spends credits. See Create a report.

Other people who connect the same Google Ads account see your copy in the library too. Only you can edit your copy.

Default reports on the dashboard​

The Overview tiles show the default reports. When you save your own copy, the tile on the dashboard does not change. To show your copy on a dashboard, click Add report on the dashboard, then pick your copy. See Customize your dashboard.
