Product Segmentation Strategy

To maximize campaign effectiveness, consider creating separate product entries for different target audiences and use cases. This helps our AI generate more focused ad copy and targeted campaigns.

When to Create Separate Product Entries

  1. Different Target Audiences

    • Industry verticals (e.g., Healthcare, Finance, E-commerce)

    • Company sizes (Enterprise, SMB, Startups)

    • Job roles (CTOs, Marketing Directors, Product Managers)

    • Geographic regions (US, Europe, APAC)

  2. Product Variations

    • Different pricing tiers (Basic, Pro, Enterprise)

    • Feature-specific offerings

    • Use case variations

    • Integration-focused versions

Benefits of Segmentation

  • More targeted ad copy generation

  • Better keyword suggestions

  • Improved campaign performance

  • Clearer value propositions per segment

  • More accurate Jobs-to-be-Done analysis

Example Segmentation

For HubSpot's marketing platform:

  1. Feature-Based Products

    • "HubSpot Marketing Hub"

    • "HubSpot Sales Hub"

    • "HubSpot Service Hub"

    • "HubSpot CMS Hub"

  2. Company Size Segments

    • "HubSpot for Enterprise Marketing Teams"

    • "HubSpot for Growing SMBs"

    • "HubSpot for Startups"

  3. Industry Focus

    • "HubSpot for SaaS Companies"

    • "HubSpot for E-commerce"

    • "HubSpot for Professional Services"

  4. Use Case Variations

    • "HubSpot for Lead Generation"

    • "HubSpot for Customer Engagement"

    • "HubSpot for Marketing Automation"

This segmentation allows for highly targeted campaigns that speak directly to specific audience needs and pain points.
